Behind The Veil of Moses is THE book I've been waiting for! I've been looking for a book to give to family and friends to share my understanding (Preterism) of the Bible and your book is just the ticket. As an added bonus, you present some insights that are wonderful new gems of knowledge I haven't encountered previously. Easily understandable and wide in scope, it’s a treasure of a book. – Sharon Nichols, Texas

I could not agree more with the previous contributor, Sharon Nichols. While there is a growing wealth of resources for the preterist interpretation of Scripture, (this web site to mention one in particular), Brian Martin’s book is a work by a layperson, for lay people, and deserves a place in the library of every serious Bible student, preterist or not. A second edition of this book should be printed in hardback and be re-titled simply “The Preterist Handbook”. Good job, Mr. Martin! And may God richly bless you. This is truly a wonderful resource.

Why is it that you only allow those that agree with your online chapter or book make comments. bj

Your website speaks of mysteries and talks about the veil of Moses being removed. It is important to know that scripture plainly states what the mysteries are.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ChristianityUnderFire/messages They were a mystery to folks in the OT and even into the gospels. One need only pick up a strongs concordance and look up 'mystery' and 'mysteries' They will notice a few things: 1) The apostle Paul brought out these mysteries in a clear fashion, unlike his predecessors. (Colossians 1:25-27) 2) The mysteries involved some kind of union: God and flesh (1 Timothy 3:16) Jew and Gentile (Romans 11:25-27) Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5) Husband and Wife? (Ephesians 5) Christ in us (Colossians 1:27) I see no evidence of a Preterist message in these scriptures. One of the mysteries is the temporary and partial blindness of Israel, while the fulness of the Gentiles come in (Romans 11:25-27), These scriptures plainly say that this is not permanent. The Preterist has concluded that Israel has blown it and that is the end of the story for them. However, in the end we will see a completion of the prophetic program for Israel. This article also says, "At the end of Acts 1, just prior to Pentecost, the apostles cast lots to find a replacement for Judas, to be numbered among the twelve. This seems to be such an unspiritual solution for such a weighty matter. Perhaps this is why, after being chosen by the lot to be numbered with the other eleven apostles, Matthias is never mentioned again. Paul, on the other hand, is stated as being an apostle no less than nine times. Christ Himself didn't choose the original twelve apostles (disciples) until after spending a night in prayer:" bj:This misses an important distinction and that is despite Mathias never being mentioned again, the scripture doesn't say that they made a mistake in choosing Mathias. The reason I bring up what might seem like a trivial point is because it really isn't. Paul was not to be one of the twelve. The twelve were to the circumcision and Paul was an apostle to the Gentiles. (Galatians 2:7-10) Paul, understood the mysteries and none of them had anything to do with a permanent setting aside of Israel but Christ and how He affected everything he touched. (Romans 11:25-27) The ultimate mystery was the fact that Christ was two made One. In other words He was God in the flesh. (1 Timothy 3:16) This affected our relationship with him, our relationship with Israel, our relationship with our spouse. All of these relationships involves at least two becoming One. http://geocities.com/protestantscot/ttd/ttd_chap1.html

I love this book! It is well documented with scripture, scripture, scripture and more scripture without twisting any of it to fit a preconceived idea or theology. I've ordered multiple copies to hand out to friends. Like a previous review states, it is written for lay people... like me! I highly recommend this wonderful book. Laurie, Livermore, CA

I haven't read the book yet, but the website is the strangest I've ever seen
(see for yourself by following the link given). The whole site is nothing
but advertisements for ringtones and ski vacations in Colorado! What's the
deal?
